The gite “La FORGE BLEUE” is a magnificent farmhouse built in the 17th century and then transformed in the 18th century, it was then entirely renovated by building craftsmen. With its forge, its outbuildings, its orchard and its garden courtyard, it is the ideal place to spend a good stay and recharge your batteries in an authentic setting.
The gite is located in the heart of the Northern Vosges, in a small village in Alsace, Uttenhoffen. 15 minutes from Haguenau and 30 minutes from the European capital, Strasbourg.
The gîte rural overlooks a beautiful paved courtyard and a small garden.
Old rose bushes, vines and climbing plants that cling to the walls of the buildings in the “bleu de Hanau” colours (typical of this region), give this courtyard a warm atmosphere thanks to the richness of the colours and the abundance of vegetation in the summer.

An ideal place to spend a holiday in Alsace, well situated to visit the most emblematic sites. The house is beautiful, an authentic Alsatian house, perfectly preserved and decorated with great taste with antique furniture but with the current comfort. The hosts are a charm, they advised us and helped us in what we asked, in short, highly recommended.
Beautiful place in Alsace where time has stopped. The house and especially the garden are fantastic. The adjacent village garden is also enchanting. There are several nicely furnished rooms and a nice kitchen in the house. The inner courtyard is shaded by a lime tree and is the perfect place for an afternoon coffee or an outdoor breakfast. Unfortunately, the street in front of the house is sometimes used. But you get used to it. The hosts are super friendly and live nearby. Perfect for a few quiet days with the family
